Many inquire. Many assume. Let me pour you a drink...
Five years ago, I would have never imagined leaving my career at Comcast to pursue my entrepreneurial dreams full-time. And five years before that? Becoming an entrepreneur wasn't even on my radar.
Yet, here we are.
Over 500 events served across the tri-state area, major activations throughout Philadelphia, countless cocktails poured, and a brand name that continues to turn heads.
Kitty on Top.
Some people love it immediately. The cat lovers, the cocktail enthusiasts, and those who know I come from a family of "cats" get a kick out of it.
Others? Well, they have questions. And I know exactly where some of those minds are going. (Behave yourselves.)
But there's a story behind the name, and it has everything to do with the experience I want people to have when they hire us.
For me, hospitality has never been just about pouring drinks. It's about creating an experience that people remember long after the last cocktail has been served.
It's the little things. The things that might go unnoticed in the moment but make all the difference.
Like recommending elegant glassware for a wedding because I know presentation matters. Then watching each champagne flute come together with fresh apple cider, champagne, and a thinly sliced apple hugging the inside of the glass. Not just a toast, but a beautiful detail that complements the celebration.
It's executing a large corporate activation and making sure every bar, station, and barback is prepared, organized, and operating with uniformity. Because when you're serving hundreds of guests, consistency isn't optional.
It's that smoked Old Fashioned arriving with just the right aroma, enough to tickle your nose hairs before the first sip even touches your lips.
And sometimes, it's not about the cocktails at all.
Sometimes, it's being the reliable vendor your client can vent to when another vendor is running late. It's listening, reassuring, and knowing how to pivot without adding to the chaos.
That's hospitality.
That's what I mean when I say top-shelf service.
I extend myself as far as my arms can reach to ensure that the memories you make around our bar are good ones. Not because everything will always go perfectly, but because preparation, integrity, and genuine care make a difference when things don't.
Building Kitty on Top has taught me that the experience is just as important as the product. A beautiful cocktail might get someone's attention, but how you make them feel is what they'll remember.
So, the next time someone asks, "What does Kitty on Top mean?" here's my answer:
It means I'm on top of my game so your guests can still brag about your event years after the celebration ends.
And if we're being completely transparent?
We love a little praise, too.
Cheers, Kitty B.
